Meet Kim Thelander-Thomas, Global Sales Consultant at NEOZ. Since joining the team, Kim has become a driving force behind the company’s worldwide sales — a role that mixes energy, precision, and a deep understanding of what makes clients choose NEOZ. Her day-to-day covers everything from inbound sales and customer service to quoting, invoicing, and customisation, all with a dash of marketing flair.
When it comes to choosing a favourite lamp, Kim cannot settle on just one.
“I love them all! But if I had to choose, it would be the Bellingen with a frosted white shade — I love the natural timber and the elegance of the glass. And the white Tall Poppy, because I love everything white! It’s modern, stylish, and the way it diffuses light makes it a real powerhouse of a lamp.”
The Bellingen brings warmth and natural beauty through its handcrafted local timber base, paired here with a frosted shade that softens its light to a serene glow — perfect for dining and lounge settings.
The Tall Poppy, by contrast, has a bold, contemporary presence. Its sleek form and refined weight make it a favourite among designers looking for a statement piece that delivers both atmosphere and performance.

More about Kim
What does a typical day look like for you at NEOZ?
Sales, sales, sales! My days are filled with inbound enquiries, customer service, quoting and invoicing, with a touch of customisation and a hint of marketing to keep things interesting.
What’s something surprising people might not know about your role?
The sheer range of clients and countries I work with. Orders come in from everywhere — from Azerbaijan to Romania, to superyachts cruising around the world.

If you could swap jobs with someone at NEOZ for a day, who would it be and why?
I would swap with Tom, our logistics manager. I know a little about the challenges he deals with, but I have not been fully exposed to them. His work with customs is incredibly complex and involves so many uncertainties. It would be valuable to see up close how he ensures that every shipment successfully reaches the client.
What’s your dream hotel or restaurant (real or fictional)?
Any five-star luxury hotel, preferably on the beach or on the slopes. For restaurants, anything seafood-focused with a beautiful view and wines to match.
Set on the water’s edge at Belmore Basin, a corner table at Harbourfront Restaurant Wollongong offers the perfect setting to indulge, beautifully lit by the Tall Poppy table lamp in White.
What impact do you hope to have on your role and NEOZ?
I want to be the best sales consultant NEOZ has ever had — someone who delivers exceptional service to our clients and supports the team every step of the way.
What does your ideal holiday or day off look like?
A day off is not enough! My ideal holiday has it all… palm trees, sunshine, beach, pool, good food and cocktails, and a little shopping thrown in. Or take me to the slopes in Japan for mountains, snow, and cold, I love that too.
