From intimate restaurants to large hotel spaces, lamps from NEOZ’s Cooee collection have found their place in a remarkably wide range of hospitality settings.
The name borrows from the Australian bush call used to carry attention across distance without raising the voice, a fitting reference for a lamp designed to hold a room’s attention while asking very little of it.
Cooee pares the cordless table lamp back to a few carefully resolved elements: a slim metal column, a compact disc base and a diffuser or reflector shaped around the light it produces. The silhouette is slender and immediately recognisable, with enough presence to define a tabletop without dominating the room around it.
This clarity has allowed Cooee to develop from a single lamp into a growing family. Each variation retains the same essential proportions while introducing a different lighting effect. Together, they create a versatile collection for designers and hospitality operators, with options for focused downlight, ambient sidelight and different expressions of the same minimalist form.

A Versatile Cordless Lamp for Iconic Hospitality Interiors
Cooee is one of NEOZ’s most widely specified collections, used across luxury hotels, restaurants, bars, lounges and outdoor dining settings around the world. It can be found at venues including Mandarin Oriental Palace Luzern, St. Regis Venice, Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur and Ochre in London.
Its restrained form gives the lamp an unusual range. Cooee can recede into a contemporary dining room, complement the detail of a heritage interior or create a repeated visual rhythm across a restaurant or terrace. Its compact footprint leaves room on the table, while the low-glare design preserves conversation, views and the wider atmosphere of the space.

A Modular Cordless Lighting Family
The Cooee variations share the same slender column and compact base. What changes is the element above and, with it, the way the lamp shapes light.
Within the collection, two lighting approaches share the same base. One group, the 1C, 2C and 3C, uses a metal reflector to produce a controlled, glare-free downlight, directing illumination towards the table and minimising reflections in surrounding glass, ideal for dining rooms with prominent windows, mirrors or views. The other, the 2, 3 and 4, trades the reflector for a diffuser and a softer ambient glow, from the clean opal wash of the 2 to the fluted texture of the 4. Together they let designers choose a sharper or more atmospheric register without stepping outside the family’s shared silhouette.
A restaurant might use downlighting across dining tables and introduce a softer glow at the bar. A hotel can carry the same design from the restaurant to the lounge, selecting a different diffuser or finish for each space. The collection adapts without losing its identity.

Designed for Service, Refinement and Longevity
Every Cooee lamp is precision-machined in durable metal, giving the slender form the weight and stability required for regular hospitality use. The cordless design makes each lamp easy to position, move and redeploy as layouts and service requirements change.
Powered by the serviceable N1 Light Engine, Cooee provides warm, rechargeable light across three dimmable settings. Batteries, LEDs and other components can be replaced, supporting straightforward maintenance and a longer working life. Cooee models fitted with a compatible N1 Light Engine can also be secured discreetly using the NEOZ Cordless Lamp Lock.
Cooee’s adaptability comes from the discipline of its original design. One refined base form supports different materials, finishes and qualities of light, creating a cordless table lamp family suited to a remarkably broad range of hospitality interiors.
