On the upper floors of Sapporo's Lilac Square, InterContinental Sapporo trades a single signature look for a series of changing atmospheres. Nikken Sekkei's interiors move between light and shadow, natural texture and polished detail, room by room. Following that shift is the NEOZ Cooee 2C, cordless and compact, recast in bronze, black and brass across the hotel's three main spaces.
Corinthia Rome brings together courtyard dining, fine dining and a cocktail bar across three distinct venues in a landmark 1920s building in central Rome. NEOZ Victoria Aged Brass cordless lamps were specified across Piazzetta, Viride and Ocra. GA's Simon Abela discusses working within a heritage setting, shaping separate venue identities under a single roof, and why cordless table lighting matters in large hospitality spaces.
Merdeka Grill and Cacao Mixology & Chocolate sit high within Merdeka 118, designed by GA as Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur's contemporary home in the sky. Each draws on the rhythm of traditional Malay houses, one architectural, one residential. We spoke with Corinna Galdies, Director at GA, on designing for altitude and intimacy at scale.
Fabled Studio does not style interiors around a period. They build them around a character. At Louis in Manchester, that character is a Sicilian immigrant whose rise through 1950s Little Italy, and the shadow that followed, gave the space its narrative, its atmosphere, and its sense of something unresolved.
Perched on Level 28 of voco Gosford, Astra is a rooftop bar that moves through the day in distinct registers. Sunset drinks give way to evening dining, and the space needs lighting that supports that shift without announcing itself. The NEOZ Victoria cordless lamp was specified for exactly that role, bringing warmth and material coherence to one of the Central Coast's most elevated dining settings.
Located within The Quad, a design-conscious precinct in uptown Dallas, Mamani is the work of New York's Bryan O'Sullivan Studio. Managing Director José Rodriguez discusses how the studio translates cultural reference without literal reproduction, designs for movement and transition, and approaches lighting as part of the spatial whole.
Ardo Hotel on the Townsville waterfront houses two distinct dining experiences: Terasu, an open izakaya-inflected rooftop, and Marmor, a refined interior dining room. Across both spaces, the NEOZ Cooee cordless lamp in bronze provides a consistent quality of table light that connects without flattening the difference between them.
Set within Chicago’s historic LaSalle Street Cable Car Powerhouse, the Beef & Liberty Bar at Hawksmoor offers a more intimate counterpoint to the restaurant below. Defined by layered materiality and carefully considered lighting, the space demonstrates how atmosphere can shape the rhythm of hospitality.
High above the city at Marina Bay Sands, LAVO Singapore balances panoramic views with carefully layered lighting and interiors. Designers from greymatters share how the restaurant’s design creates intimacy at scale while responding to Singapore’s climate and energy.
Located within Hotel Indigo Auckland’s restored heritage motor house building, Bistro Saine pairs European brasserie energy with a confident, contemporary interior. Grounded in timber, stone and burnished finishes, the dining room transitions seamlessly from day to evening. The NEOZ Victoria in Aged Brass complements this material palette, providing refined cordless table lighting that reinforces warmth, clarity and continuity throughout service.
